Why is there no chocolate in the Advent calendar?

We put a lot of thought into how we could make an Advent calendar which was fun, yet sustainable. We quickly agreed that we wanted to offer children something more exciting than just a daily dose of sugar. In addition, chocolate advent calendars often contain plastic packaging, which has nothing to do with sustainability and goes against Librio's policies. So, instead of chocolate, we went for fun puzzles, coloring pages and craft ideas to keep the little ones entertained.
